A happy update from our lab! 🐦🎉 Ilgın has completed bird sampling for the BioMont project in the Köroğlu Mountains, Bolu — made possible by the effort and support of the whole team.
From late March to late July, 80 sites were sampled with AudioMoth recorders, resulting in 120 hours of acoustic recordings. During the same period, point counts were also carried out at 40 sites.
Preliminary BirdNET analyses yielded 99,789 detections from 247 species. Next up: expert validation and setting species-specific confidence thresholds!
