BioMont Vegetation Sampling Successfully Completed in the Köroğlu Mountains

In the BioMont Project, vegetation sampling was carried out by Fesiha Yavuz and Ahmet Ayteğin, with help from volunteers in our lab, from June to August. Across an altitudinal gradient ranging from 1,000 m to 2,250 m, the team sampled plant species from a wide range of habitats, including juniper shrublands, fir forests, pastures, and subalpine meadows.

More than 3,000 plants were recorded in the field, and the collected specimens will now be identified to document the plant diversity of the study area.
